Meet Blue, a 3-year-old coonhound from South Carolina who's just as dreamy as they come! Blue is a playful, fun-loving guy who adores romping around with toys and other dogs. After he's had his fill of fun, he's all about relaxing with his people and soaking up some affection. Being the true hound that he is, Blue will bay when he gets excited, but his foster dad says it's only when he's eager to make a dog friend. Otherwise, he's pretty quiet. Blue is also crate trained and appears house trained as long as he gets the routine down. He loves to cuddle with people, get belly rubs, play with tennis balls, and go for walks.
He can be mouthy during play, so we'd recommend he go home with kids 10 and up. He does guard food from other animals, including human food, so if you have another dog, you'll need a plan to keep them separate when food is around.
If you're looking for a loyal companion who's as sweet as he is spirited, Blue might just be your perfect match!

-spay/neuter
-rabies and kennel cough vaccinations
- heartworm test
-current parvo/distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian)
-microchip implanted & registered to adopter
-treatment of fleas & ticks
-veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin
-free vet exam within 30 days of adoption with participating veterinarians
Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your pet.
