Helllooooo! I'm Mary Ann! I bet when you saw my picture the first thing you noticed was my long floppy ears! I am thinking that there is a hound in my family tree somewhere! Anyway, this pretty little gal was picked up by the nice guys of Animal Control as I wandered in a local neighborhood. Yep, I waited my allotted time and I was never claimed by my family. Now, I am now ready for adoption. I have all of my vaccinations, I am heartworm negative, I have a microchip, and I have been spayed. I am what they call a teenage puppy so be ready for lots of fun outdoor activities where I can run and play! You know the old saying...a tired dog is a good dog!

The placement of our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and thereby enhancing the bond between animals and people is the primary goal of the Montgomery Humane Society Adoption Program. We focus on education so that every pet owner benefits from their contact with the shelter, whether or not they adopt an animal from us. Matching the needs of the animal and the potential owner, as well as educating potential owners about responsible pet ownership, helps to ensure successful pet placements of shelter animals.

The Montgomery Humane Society prevents cruelty to animals by operating an animal shelter for homeless, abandoned, and unwanted animals; by operating an adoption center for healthy animals; by investigating cruelty and abuse cases; and by educating the public in animal owner responsibility.
