My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name: Peanut

Age: 5 Years

Breed: Domestic Shorthair

Gender: Female

Meet Peanut!

Introducing Peanut, our beautiful 5-year-old Domestic Shorthair who is ready to find her forever home alongside her bonded companion, Ox. Peanut came to us after her owner's husband passed away, and the wife could no longer care for her. Despite her shy and slightly spicy nature, Peanut is a deeply sweet cat who just needs a little patience to showcase her affectionate side.

Shy and Sweet

eanut is a bit shy and can be a little spicy at first, but with patience and understanding, her sweet and loving nature shines through. She needs a calm and supportive environment where she can feel safe and secure. With Ox by her side, she finds comfort and companionship, making their bond truly special.

Up to Date on Vaccines and Spayed

Peanut is up to date on all her vaccinations and has been spayed, ensuring she is healthy and ready to join her new family. Our dedicated care guarantees that she is thriving and well-prepared for her forever home.

Needs Patience and Love

Peanut requires a family who can give her the patience and love she needs to feel comfortable and loved. With time, she will warm up and become a loyal and affectionate companion. Her bond with Ox is a testament to her capacity for love and friendship.

Litter Box Trained

Peanut is fully litter box trained, making the transition to her new home smooth and hassle-free. Her good habits are a significant advantage for her future family.

Ready for a Loving Home

With her combination of shyness, resilience, and potential for affection, Peanut is the perfect addition to a loving household willing to give her and Ox the time and understanding they need. They are ready to bring a sense of calm and warmth to their new family.

If Peanut and Ox sound like the perfect companions for you, come meet them! They’re eager to share their unique personalities and bring happiness to their forever home .

More about this rescue

The Homeless Pets Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 1998 by Dr. Michael Good, an Atlanta veterinarian who saw a need to create an organization that could assist animal shelters and pet owners in need. In the Atlanta area alone, there are more than 100,000 animals destroyed each year for lack of a home. The Foundation provides critical medical care, food, foster care and comfort to these homeless animals.
