My story

Gemma is.a beautiful, wonderful cat! We have 3 Bernese Mountain Dogs too, and when she was younger, she got along with them very well - but in the last year, something has changed and now she demonstrates extreme nervousness and stress when she is around them. As a result, she has been aggressively grooming herself such that the hair on certain parts of her body is very thin. While we hate to even think about having to rehome her, we want to do what’s best for her and see her live out the rest of her life in a home where she can live comfortably and without such stress.

We have had Gemma for about 8 years, and adopted her during an event at a local pet store - not long after the death of our 18 year old cat who had been with us since she was a kitten. Gemma is about 8.5 years old currently. She has never been around other cats, and I would not place her in a home with a dog just given our recent experiences with her.
