My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Mason.
You may remember me from a pic where I was found at Mason Complex completely soaked from the rain. Don't worry I am all dried off now and ready for a home.
I'm quite the gentleman, always ready to offer a paw for holding. My friends say I'm sweet, cuddly, and loyal. I'm the kind of friend who's always there for you, ready with a friendly wag and a comforting presence. I love being loved, it's the best feeling in the world. I'm quite sociable too, I'm always happy around people. I may even be up for a meet and greet with a potential sibling. I admit, I can be a bit picky about treats, but hey, who isn't? Life's too short for bad biscuits, right?
If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who will always be by your side, then I'm your guy. I promise, you won't regret it.

More about this shelter

The Allegany County Animal Shelter serves as the municipal shelter for Allegany County and is located at 716 Furnace Street in Cumberland. For many years, the shelter served as the final destination for nearly 85% of the animals that entered it. In late 2010, a group of passionate citizens led the charge to change the nature of the shelter with a goal of doing as much as possible for every animal, every day. It was the first step on the journey to becoming A Shelter of Hope.
