Meet our adorable Chihuahua duo! The black and tan boy is named Milo and the tan and white girl is named Nena. We believe both dogs are about 4-6 years old. Milo and Nena came to us after hours one evening when their owner decided to come drop them off in a crate on our sidewalk. Luckily, a volunteer from the organization next to us was at our building, and she was able to get the dogs safely inside so they did not get loose from the crate. Both dogs were quite skinny when they came to us, but they are both great eaters and have already started putting weight back on. They are perfectly fine eating dry kibble and they love treats! They were both shy at first, but now that they have gotten to know us, these 2 have shown us their true, outgoing personalities! They love to run around our office playing with each other. They are definitely lap dogs and will want to be on you when you are sitting down. In true Chihuahua fashion, they bark when someone knocks at the door, but they are both just sweet little pups!
We would love to find a home where Milo and Nena can be adopted together! They get along really well and their personalities really shine when they can play together. They seem fine with other dogs and they can go to a home with children 12 years old and older.

You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal.

An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments.
ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME.
