My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ADORABLE & SWEET:  Approx. 6 years old / Approx. 7 lbs.

Hi, I’m Pippa, I came to Mostly Mutts along with a couple of dog friends when it was clear that we needed new homes.  I’ve been having fun in my foster home as well as a temporary foster home I visited before my regular foster picked me up.  Now I’m ready to find a wonderful furever family to love!  Perhaps you?

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I came in with a few dogs that I like, and I’m working on my relationship with the dog in my foster home now.  I don’t care for them much, but I’m working on it with my foster family, so ask how that’s going and if you have a dog already, let’s meet and see if we can be pals! / Cats unknown. / I met a couple of 14-year-old boys in my temp. foster home and liked them, so if you have kids, let’s meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me as I’m small.

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I love being with people as attention and cuddle time is one of my favorite things to do with my people.  I’ll also sit with you while you watch TV or lie in a dog bed next to you if you’re on the computer.  Basically, I’ll be your adorable sidekick! I was super cute, fun and a bit busy during my photo shoot which I thought was fun. / Energy level: 3-5.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  In my foster home, I come when called and walk well on my leash.  I’m sure you can teach me a lot more! / I’m not a fan of the crate at all. / I’m doing pretty well with my potty manners in my foster home on a good take-out schedule, so just know that you’ll want to keep me on a good schedule and may need to work with me a little bit while I get used to my new home.

• LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love being with the family most of all.  I also enjoy squeaky toys, comfy dog beds and cuddles. / I don’t like being in a crate or being left alone much, so I’d really like a stay/work from home family member. I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, and training.

• MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I have tear staining, but there are some over the counter products that may help with this.

I’m looking for a wonderful home where I’ll be a cherished family member!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process

Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:

Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!

Adoption Info:
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.

Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family.

Thank you for your patience and support!

Who We Are:

Mostly Mutts is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, staffed almost entirely by volunteers!

Our Mission is to help the Unwanted, Abandoned, Abused and Sick animals in our local counties. We fulfill this mission by working closely with County Animal Control Facilities, saving those who are in imminent danger of euthanasia, or those with needs which require specialized vet care that many other groups will not consider: major orthopedic issues, heartworm positive treatment, skin conditions, neglect and abuse
