My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sesame is a super sweet girl looking for her forever home. She is a 1 year old female mixed breed dog. She weighs about 25lbs. She is potty trained and is currently working on improving her crate manners. She loves to play with other dogs but would much prefer to be curled up on the couch with a toy. Sesame has not been introduced to cats and does well with children.

Sesame is very eager to please and often seeks out affection, however she is a bit timid and anxious so she would benefit from a home that can help her build her confidence. Sesame does require a home where she is the only dog.

All of our dogs, cats, rabbits & ferrets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Small animals are usually not altered. We have adoption applications, a short interview process, and an adoption fee for each animal. All animals (except rabbits & small animals) are up to date on all shots.

We hold adoption events on Saturdays at Petsmart in Mishawaka from 11-3. We also hold other events throughout the year. Company Overview
Heartland Small Animal Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving South Bend, IN and surrounding towns by taking in homeless pets and adopting them out into loving homes. We also work closely with local shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals and putting them in our program.
