Ready to add some serious sass and class to your life? Introducing Nugget, the feline royalty who’s named after actual gold, and bet, she knows it.

Nugget on the 4th of July, and ready for lit lifestyle. High-key fabulous, loves to be pampered, always looks lowkey startled. Expert at strutting her stuff, top-tier queen, and a pro at giving side-eye. Why Nugget? She’s got that boujee look with her luxurious longer fur- her outer coat is black but her undercoat is silver and chocolate! Loves to be the center of attention and will make sure you know it. Not exactly a big fan of other cats or strangers; might do best as the queen of the house, but could be integrated into an existing cat pride with some time and patience. Highkey ready to be TikTok famous. Not into situationships. Nugget is looking for long-term. Owl eyes, constantly sus of other people’s (and cat’s) basic shenanigans. Ready to bond with someone who knows her value. Will grace you with her on fleek presence; total queen package. Ready for her glow up from awkward kittenhood into regal majesty.

All cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, treated for fleas and ear mites, tested for FELV/FIV and microchipped. You must fill out an adoption application and talk directly with one of our adoption coordinators. An adoption contract must be signed at time of adoption.

You may visit The Cat House daily, except major holidays, 1-4 pm, by appointment only. We also have an off-site adoption center located inside Petco at 4144 N. Blackstone at Ashlan in Fresno, which is open open daily 10am-5pm and Wednesday 10am-6pm.

The Cat House on the Kings is California's largest no-cage, no-kill, lifetime cat sanctuary and adoption center located on 12 acres along the Kings River in Parlier, California, which is in the central San Joaquin Valley, southeast of Fresno.

At The Cat House, our mission is to:
1) provide a no-cage, no-kill sanctuary for feral and abandoned cats and kittens for the State of California, primarily serving the Central Valley;
2) facilitate the adoption of cats (primarily), dogs and other rescued animals into safe, loving, healthy and permanent homes;
3) educate the public on how to become directly involved in improving the quality of animal welfare;
4) offer low cost spay and neuter referrals.
