My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A volunteer writes:
Mango is a lively and chatty ginger we all enjoy at the care center. He is a socialite and makes sure to be noticed when someone is in sight in his ward. Mango is always at his door, waiting for you to open it! Being a diabetic cat, sure, he would love more food and may be, treats but petting and the arms of his visitor are what he is yearning for. He loves to play too(see his video) and both catnip toys and feathered wands send him into a silly dance. Mango was found and owned for a very short time and brought to the Manhattan Care Center as he was drinking too much water. He did live with a dog and a cat but very little information about him was left with us. Mango is a good patient, a "FreeStyle" device helping in his DM management. He is monitored and treated for his diabetes mellitus by our veterinary team. We are hoping that a "red cat" lover, comfortable with DM management, will "fall" for him and take him home for many happy years to come. Mango is waiting, hopeful, at the Manhattan Care Center.

Mango was standing at the front with a high tail that quivered when he was pet (excited to see me) and arched his back with back petting, and enjoyed all petting, and was calm when picked up and held and set back down.

Please note that this cat is being treated for a medical condition at the time of evaluation. It does not appear that the medical condition is affecting his behavior.

Mango interacts with the assessor, appreciates & solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat is suitable for any level of adopter experience.
