I’m Oscar, a dashing terrier mix who is a mushball of love and sweetness.
My estimated birth date is January 2023. I came to the Humane Society from Chester County Animal Control, where my previous owner had surrendered me with my sister when we were 5 months old. We were in such rough shape, with hardly any hair left from demodectic mange (“puppy mange”).
The great news is that it was very treatable and not contagious, and the Humane Society put us right into a wonderful foster home. We had quite a glow-up in two months! After some nice supplements, medicated baths, good nutrition and lots of love, we looked beautiful.
Not only did I grow back all of my lovely black and white fur, but I learned how to walk on a leash and how to sit, and I started my potty training. I gained so much confidence in my foster home, and I learned to trust.
I’m a super-smart boy and I learn quickly. I’ll never say no to a tasty treat. I like to play and love a good chew toy or a stuffed Kong to nosh on. I’m a cuddly boy once I get my zoomies out, and I love to snuggle with my people.
I get along with other dogs and have had some fun adventures, like meeting new people at Cabela’s with other Humane Society pups, and having a jaunt at the Riverwalk. I’m an excellent car rider and would love more adventures with my adoptive family.
My sister found her forever home and now it’s my turn. If you want a handsome, smart love bug of a pupper, come meet me!
I’m up to date on vaccines and preventions, neutered and microchipped. If you wish to meet me, please call the Humane Society of York County at (803)-802-0902 to schedule an appointment.
