Animal Profile: Jefferson is an a 6 month old male, Dobie / Cattle Dog X mix (best guess) who will be joining us from Texas on 10/07. He and his siblings were dumped and left to die, by the time they were found they were emaciated and covered in fleas. Our partner has had them since May and nursed them back to health. They are good with cats, other dogs, and kiddos and are crate trained. Love to be outside. They are waiting for their freedom ride to the PNW, where they will be looking for their forever home. We will add more information as we get it.
Foster Update: Meet Jefferson , a delightful 7-month-old Doberman and Cattle Dog mix with a big heart and a sharp mind! This playful and affectionate puppy is already impressing with his impressive repertoire of tricks—he knows sit, down, up, and spin, and is always eager to learn more, especially when there’s a tasty treat involved! His love for food makes training a breeze, and he’s quick to pick up new skills.
Jefferson is a true cuddle bug who loves showering his family with kisses and snuggles. He’s also super playful with other dogs, and his energy is contagious when it comes to playtime. Whether he's chasing after his favorite toys or romping with his furry friends, Jefferson is always ready for fun.
While he can be a little cautious in new situations, true to his Doberman nature, Jefferson is a sensitive soul who warms up quickly once he feels comfortable. We're currently working on building his confidence and improving his leash skills, and he's making great progress. With his affectionate personality, playful spirit, and eagerness to learn, Jefferson is sure to make a loyal and loving companion for the right family!
Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.

Animal History: This dog is being transferred from Animal Advocacy & Rescue our partner in Del Rio Texas and arriving via Paws Up Rescue to the Seattle area. This dog will be fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption once evaluated in foster care.
