My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile:  Jefferson is an a 6 month old male, Dobie / Cattle Dog X mix (best guess) who will be joining us from Texas on 10/07. He and his siblings were dumped and left to die, by the time they were found they were emaciated and covered in fleas. Our partner has had them since May and nursed them back to health. They are good with cats, other dogs, and kiddos and are crate trained. Love to be outside. They are  waiting for their freedom ride to the PNW, where they will be looking for their forever home. We will add more information as we get it.

Foster Update:  Jefferson is a sweet, smart, and spunky pup!  He is half Doberman, but his other half is made up of smaller breeds, so he will be growing into a nice “medium” adult size. He is friendly and playful with other dogs and people, learns quickly (food motivated), and LOVES his toys. When he finally tires out, he also enjoys being cuddled and is  generous with his puppy kisses. Jefferson can be a bit cautious and is working to gain confidence on the leash, especially around new noises or traffic. Soon, he’ll be a great walking or hiking companion. He is really good in his crate at night (not always during the day) and is mostly house-trained (still learning how to tell us when he needs to go out). Training Jefferson is fun - he is an eager student and quickly picks up on new skills.
