My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

April showers bring May flowers!!! Meet the two fantastic bunnies that have made that statement true. April is more social than May but do not be fooled, May is the cuddler. These two girls are patiently waiting to find a home together, as May is very reliant on April.

April and May are doing remarkable at using their litter box and keep most of their space very clean. They are respectful of the amount of time it will take them to clean up, so they are pretty good at staying tidy. They do enjoy having time to race laps in their room and sometimes they make a little mess. April loves getting up on her boxes so she can see what is happening around her. May is more the type to stay low-key and let April have all the firsts.

April and May would love to find their garden of paradise, and would love to meet the family who will make that dream come true. Could you be the one to shower them with the love and attention they so deserve? They would love to meet with you and welcome you to come to the Comox Valley Adoption Center and introduce yourself!

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

    Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

    Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

    Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

    1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

    2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

    3. Freedom from distress

    4. Freedom from discomfort

    5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
