Hello! Dude here, and I am part of the handful of dogs that came from Tennessee after the recent hurricanes. Man, if eyes could tell a story, I think mine would be a doozy. There is a certain look in my eyes that says I've been through a lot in my six years of life. While it is unknown to the people here, I still am just the sweetest and gentlest soul you could meet! I am pretty mellow, but I do have a little pep in my step now and again! I am not much for most toys or treats, but I love all the pets and affection I can get! I would be a wonderful couch companion if that is something you are looking for! I can be a bit of a puller sometimes, but I eventually get into a groove and will walk side by side with you! There are some more abrasive dogs that I may not get along with, but there is a chance I could share my home with another mellow dog like me! I would prefer a quieter home that I can just relax in, so I would do best in a home with quieter, respectful children. Think I may be a good fit for you and your life? Come and meet me at the shelter to find out! Primary Color: Brindle Secondary Color: White Weight: 68.9 Age: 6yrs 6mths 3wks

HSSC places animals on a first come, first serve basis. After an animal that is available for adoption has been met with, the animal’s name can be put on an application. Animals that are applied for must be adopted the same day or within 24 hours of the animal being placed on the adoption application. Exceptions will be made if any animal needs a medical procedure, but then will need to be adopted within 24 hours of being cleared from that procedure. HSSC reserves the right to accommodate alternate timelines for special needs/behavioral issue animals.
It is the potential adopter's responsibility to communicate with their landlord to contact HSSC for approval or to provide documentation stating permission within 24 hours of application submission.
It is also the potential adopter's responsibility to produce a current rabies certificate for their current dog(s) to conduct a dog to dog meet and greet within 24 hours of application submission.
Please call shelter for adoption pricing.
