Hello! My name is Marigold, and I am a pretty, little 4-year-old girl that was part of the group of thirteen dogs that were transported from Tennessee after the recent hurricanes. I'm now hoping to find my forever family here! I am initially a bit nervous and shy when meeting new people, but I'm hoping that someone will give me a chance to warm up to them and get comfortable to be able to show my true self! I am pretty independent, but that doesn't mean that I won't come up to you for a pet every once in a while! I love to explore and sniff around my surroundings! A nice, long walk where I can take in the smells and sights sounds so great to me! I am not a fan of loud noises, so if I were to share my home with children, I would prefer them to be quieter and respectful of my space. HSSC places animals on a first come, first serve basis. After an animal that is available for adoption has been met with, the animal’s name can be put on an application. Animals that are applied for must be adopted the same day or within 24 hours of the animal being placed on the adoption application. Exceptions will be made if any animal needs a medical procedure, but then will need to be adopted within 24 hours of being cleared from that procedure. HSSC reserves the right to accommodate alternate timelines for special needs/behavioral issue animals.
It is the potential adopter's responsibility to communicate with their landlord to contact HSSC for approval or to provide documentation stating permission within 24 hours of application submission.
It is also the potential adopter's responsibility to produce a current rabies certificate for their current dog(s) to conduct a dog to dog meet and greet within 24 hours of application submission.
