My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Simba cannot wait to meet you! This adorable 2 year old Chihuahua/Dachsund mix came to us from a hoarding situation which we were previously involved with last year! Remember the tiny little chi puppies we had? Hozier, Carpenter, Slush Puppy, Voila, and the rest of the crew? Simba is from that same house! We are so happy we were able to save this little fella and his friends from his previous living situation!

We are still learning about Simba, so we are not sure if he is house trained, but we do know he lived with other dogs and cats and did well with them! Simba seems to do well on a leash, and we aren`t sure about crate training quite yet! But we will learn more about this handsome guy with time!

Our adoption fee for dogs is $200.00. This fee includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccines, microchip, dewormer, and consistent heartworm and flea prevention before leaving the facility.

If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website hsecarolina.org where you will find our adoption application. Please fill it out and submit, and once your application is reviewed, someone will reach out to you to set up an appointment. Thank you!

More about this rescue

The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina's mission is to serve as a safe haven for homeless and neglected pets and act as a resource to the community. By educating the public about issues pertaining to animals, we feel that we can work towards the elimination of over breeding of dogs and cats and teach owners to be responsible pet owners. At the same time, we hope to facilitate adoption of pets to good homes so that we can allow more unwanted animals to find a temporary home with us.
