My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mac was found dodging cars on a very busy street in San Antonio, along with his three sisters. They were starving and scared, and looking for someone to take them in.  Despite the hardships of his earlier life, Mac is a happy dog who finds joy in everything.

Mac’s fosters describe him as easy, smart and thoughtful. Quoting one, “Mac is Lassie in a mutt body. He would do great in a home with other dogs and a 9-year-old boy named Timmy.” Other qualities for him include:

Super smart – Mac learns new things quickly. He is eager to please and will do anything for a treatie.
Lover boy - Mac has never met a person or a couch that he doesn’t love. As the “big brother,” he takes great care of his sisters.
Therapist – Mac is an intuitive and thoughtful dog, who knows when you are sad or stressed. He administers his brand of medicine in sweet kisses and affection.

So, if your family is looking for a sweet-tempered, inquisitive, easily trainable dog to enliven your lives, Mac is your guy. He’ll bring his brand of joie de vivre to your home.

More about this rescue

SNIPSA is an organization formed by a group of veterinarians and caring individuals dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted animals in San Antonio and the surrounding area. SNIPSA does not have a standing shelter and depends on a core of volunteers to foster and rehabilitate animals in their homes. This provides us with the opportunity to learn first hand about the animal’s needs and behavior in order to facilitate an appropriate adoption. SNIPSA was incorporated in 2005 and has re-homed more than 3000 animals.
