Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Likes: food, treats, walks, car rides, snuggles, sleeping in the bed, watching out the front window
Dislikes: easily excited/high energy/hyper dogs
What would be the ideal home? Believe Luna will adjust well to any environment. Fine for first time owners, but will need to be strong to handle her, especially during walks when she gets excited when approaching other people and dogs.
Good with other cats? unknown
Good with dogs? lives with a dog in foster - but it`s recommended she be the only dog in the home, unless the other dog is low energy and doesn`t get too excited.
Good with children? yes, any age
Temperament: social, playful, likes to be active, but also likes to chill, affectionate, occasionally stubborn
Motivators? food, treats
Any commands? come, sit, working on ‘wait’ at feeding time, working on ‘easy’ during walks
House trained? yes
Crate trained? unknown, Luna is free to roam when left alone and does fine, initially had a few accidents in the house when left alone, but has learned to wait
How long will it take to settle into a new environment? couple of days, once warmed up to her new parent(s). She’ll settle in just fine.
Any special needs or traits an adopter should know? Pulls hard on lead when approaching people and other dogs on walks. Can sound aggressive, however, this is due to the structure of her nose, along with her excitement and pulling on the leash, which restricts her breathing. Guards food with other dogs, therefore recommended to feed her completely separate. Will react to another dog when energy rises - this is being worked on, but it is a slow process. Requires slow-feeder dish for meal time. No aggression towards people. Snores! Very strong dog, but also super gentle.
