My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

10/04/24 13:14 very nervous girl, tired to give her a treat but she did not want it. She walks ok on the leash and at times would stop walking. normal impound, did not vax at this time due to her lactating heavily
10/05/24 10:14 Very sweet but very scared.. Needs time to adjust.
10/22/24 13:34 Dog is still pretty shy and shut down. She doesnt eat much, and when you enter her kennel, she stays frozen and it takes a lot of coaxing for her to let me pet her but she is not aggressive.. Although I fear that with quick movement, she may snap out of fear. Go slow with her and she is fine
10/30/24 13:14 After visiting her for a couple of days, she is now more outgoing with me and is such a sweet heart. She is still very shy with people walking by her kennel and tries to sleep the majority of the day to help cope with this environment. I have not heard her bark once while here and she won`t easily give attention unless she trusts you. She is a sensitive girl, but she is so sweet
10/31/24 13:57 Took her out to the conference room to play with some of the staff, and at first she was shy with her head low.. But within a few minutes, she quickly became comfortable with everyone and was taking turns getting pet by each of us. She knows how to sit, shake, lay down, and is very food motivated. She wasn`t too interested in toys, but she enjoyed chasing me around would play bow often. She leased well and when it was time to put her back, she went right into her kennel.

Additional adoption info

Dogs and cats are available for adoption at the animal shelter for a nominal fee. Visit the shelter to fill out an Adoption Consultation Form at the shelter. An Animal Care Technician will review this form and evaluate the adoption from both yours and the pet’s perspective. If the pet's date of availability has past, the person with an approved application will be able to adopt. If there is more than one person interested and approved on the date and time the pet becomes available, a drawing will take place in order to be fair to all parties involved.
