My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! I`m Pierre! I`m a young boy who is excited to be in Colorado. I am a big boy and weigh about 45 to 50lbs.

I love to meet new people and make new friends! I`m very sweet, and I want to be right by your side. I also like treats and will pay close attention to you if you have treats - I`m very eager to please you! I already know how to sit, and I seem to know down, too. If you are looking for a dog who loves to go for walks, spend time outside going on adventures, and be your best friend, I may be the right boy for you! Will you be my new family?

If you are interested in adding me to your family, please call TCRAS at 719-686-7707 to set up an appointment!

Additional adoption info

To adopt:
All adoptions must be done in person. Visit the shelter to meet the adoptable animals you would like to consider. TCRAS is open 6 days a week, please see hours of operation.

Your visit with each animal will be assisted by a trained adoption specialist to answer questions, address concerns and to help you decide if the animal is a good fit for your home environment (i.e. children, other pets, specific needs, etc). You can also bring in your current pets to do a visitation (this may be required with certain animals).

More about this shelter

In the year 2000, the Teller County Regional Animal Shelter (TCRAS) was formed and continued under this leadership to the present day. Our shelter is a small, rural shelter. Every year, over 800 lost, abandoned, neglected, or homeless dogs and cats get assistance from TCRAS. We do not euthanize for time or space.
