My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ABOUT ME...
Hello, I am Sissy. I am a 9-year-old Dachshund mix. I came into rescue in September with my 4-year-old babies after my owner was hospitalized. We were left for days without going outside or being fed. We were scared and hungry until the nice people picked us up and took us to the vet for medical attention. I had a giant mammary tumor removal and a dental where I lost lots of teeths!

I AM GREAT WITH...
I love other dogs, I have great potty habits, I love my comfortable bed and I love to cuddle. I am very treat motivated. They are my favorite. Also, I will not run off, I like to stay close to my human. I can be in a crate, my foster mom has me in a playpen with a comfortable bed for the best naps. I love laying on the blankets, not sure what a toy is right now. I have not been around cats or children, but my foster mom thinks I will be fine with anyone.

I AM STILL WORKING ON...
I am super passive and love naps and cuddling. I cannot think of anything I am working on, but if I do, I will let you know.

I AM NOT GOOD WITH...
I do not know very many tricks. I would rather take a nap or eat a treat than do tricks, they do not seem fun to me.

**All animals in our care are spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (age 1 & up), given preventatives, and provided with initial vaccinations AT MINIMUM. Booster shots are included in the adoption fee and will be performed at our clinic, or the adopter can use their own vet at their expense. Adopters must reside within 2 hours of Columbus, OH.
