My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Milky Way, a celestial being in his own right. His character is as charming as the galaxy he`s named after. He`s a sweet and friendly feline who adores the company of humans. Milky Way has a knack for making anyone feel loved with his gentle purrs and affectionate demeanor. He`s the kind of cat who would sit with you on a quiet afternoon, offering his silent companionship. Milky Way is also a great listener. He might not understand your words, but he understands emotions and responds with soothing purrs. He`s a cat who doesn`t just live in a shelter; he makes the shelter a home. But a shelter is not where Milky Way belongs. He deserves a loving family, a warm lap to curl up on, and a forever home where he can share his boundless love. Adopt Milky Way, not just because he needs a home, but because he has an enormous amount of love to give. Let Milky Way bring a piece of the galaxy into your home.

More about this shelter

We are an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, we take in about 5,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals per year including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. We provide adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets; and also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard them against illness or being lost forever.
