My name is Cookie!

Cookie is the sweetest little dog. She came from a hoarding situation where she was one of 40 dogs and was not used to human interaction. She has a foster family who has allowed her to come out of her shell, and is working on potty training. She is amazing with other dogs, fine with cats, and does well for brushing and grooming. In new environments, it does take her a few days to feel safe and show her personality. She is extremely energetic and will play all day. She LOVES being outside and soaking up the sun…likely because she had never been outside before. Cookie really needs to have another playful dog. She is learning how to be a normal dog and a part of a family, but does need direction to figure out what is appropriate and is expected of her. She takes well to positive reinforcement and once she gets to know you, is the funniest little dog.

Cookie would do best with an active family who has other dogs. She is learning the leash. She is crate trained as well.

She does need to be picked up a lot in the beginning as she does not understand when it is time to go in or out, so someone who is able to bend down is needed for her adoption to be successful.
