My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hazel is a 3 year old female weighing about 50 pounds. Hazel has had a bit of a struggle in the past, but we are working to put that all behind her. She was
underweight when she first came in, but a few
groceries and much love in her foster home have changed that. Hazel loves attention and walks well on a leash. She does
extremely well in her crate and loves a good peanut butter Kong. Hazel's main goal in life is to find
someone to love her who will let her snuggle on the couch and give her all the belly rubs! She loves every person she meets and does well with other dogs. She loves a good game of tug-of-war and basking in the sun on pretty days
Hazel is up to date on all vaccines and will be spayed, micro chipped, given a rabies shot and heart worm test upon adoption. Her adoption fee is $200. Transportation assistance is available

Hazel is in a foster home. Please contact us to schedule a meet and greet with Hazel.

Additional adoption info

Perspective adopters can find our dogs on Petfinder or social media or by just coming to the shelter. Upon choosing a dog to adopt, they will be interviewed and if the dog appears to fit their needs, the adoption will take place. If the dog is already altered, they can go home that day. If not yet altered, a vet appointment will be scheduled and the adopter can pick their dog up from the vet the day of the surgery.

More about this shelter

We are a regional shelter servicing two rural counties in Kentucky. Our shelter supports animal control and when space allows, owner surrenders. We utilize foster homes and rescues to house our dogs in addition to the kennels in our shelter. We make every effort to place our dogs in responsible loving homes.
