My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pumpkin Spice, your perfect fall-flavored fur friend! Just like your favorite seasonal latte, she's full of sweetness with a little extra spice. Pumpkin Spice gets along great with her doggie roommates-think of them as her cozy coffee shop crew. She's doing awesome learning to walk on a leash, even if she sometimes takes a detour like she's sniffing out the perfect pumpkin patch! And when it comes to using the doggie door, she's a total pro-like a barista who's mastered the espresso machine. If you're looking for a pup who's playful, sweet, and guaranteed to warm your heart (just like your favorite fall drink), Pumpkin Spice is ready to be your cuddle buddy for all those crisp autumn nights!

More about this rescue

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
