My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Approximate Date of Birth:9/1/2023

Description:

Meet Betty, a sweet and friendly 1 year old female cat who embodies love and companionship. With her soft, sleek black fur and gentle purring, she thrives on affection and adores nothing more than a good scratch on her head or under her chin. Betty loves to curl up next to you,
providing warmth and comfort as you go about your day.
Though she can be a bit skittish around loud noises or unfamiliar faces, her timid nature quickly melts away once she sense kindness and patience. With just a little time, Betty opens her heart, revealing a playful spirit and a deep bond that will make her an irreplaceable part of your
life. Her loving personality and affectionate presence will surely bring joy and warmth to any home.

Words to Describe Me: Sweet, Loving, Friendly

Favorite Place to Sleep: On the top bed of the cat tree where the morning sun hits.

Favorite Toy: Pink mouse

Perfect Day: Wake up in a nice sunny spot. Get my breakfast treats before my brothers wake up! Follow Mom around to see what she is doing. Take a nap on the cat tree with my blanky.

Kitty's Likes: She loves to be held and have her head scratched.

Kitty's Dislikes: Doesn't like the belly rubs

Fastest Way to Get Me to Purr: Sit with me and give lots of love

Favorite Treat: Churu

Job Title in Foster: Cuddler

When I Grow Up, I Want to Be: Someone's best friend so they take me everywhere.

Other Info: Betty is a little shy at first. Very non-aggressive.

  • Good with Cats: Likes cats given a proper introduction.

  • Good with Dogs: Unknown, but optimistic (Animal has not met a dog).

  • Good with Children:   Can live in a home with children over the age of 10.

Additional adoption info

Some of our "ready to adopt" felines are located at one of our Arizona PetSmart locations. https://www.savingonelife.org/adopt/locations/

We also have a small satellite operation in San Diego with adoption events on select Saturdays at the PetSmart Escondido store.

We highly recommend applying in advance in order to increase your opportunity at adopting the kitty you are interested in. Applications are processed in the order they were received. If you have questions, please email adoptions@savingonelife.org.

More about this rescue

Saving One Life is a completely foster based, volunteer run, never kill rescue. Our motto is that although we can't save the world, it makes a world of difference to the ones we do save.

If you find a litter of kittens or your cat accidentally got pregnant - please contact us if you are able to foster them at intake@savingonelife.org. We cannot take in more animals without foster homes. All supplies and vet care will be taken care of - all you have to do is open your home and heart to them until they can find homes of their own!

All of our adoptable animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for felv/fiv (Cats), dewormed, and microchipped. Adoption fees range depending on the animal's age and breed. All adoption fees assist other animals in our care - we do not have any paid employees. We are a completely never kill group that provides sanctuary to any "unadoptable" animals that come into our care including hospice care.
