My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Approximate Date of Birth:9/20/2023

Description:

Katie is a beautiful, friendly, people oriented sweetheart. She is a fabulous lap kitty and can’t wait  to see you and spend time with you and sleep on your lap or next to you. Katie does the cutest full body stretch where she extends a back leg fully out behind her She says it’s a higher level cat yoga move that should not be attempted by beginners! She can keep herself busy playing with her toys, and would like to be your little helper in the kitchen. She’s definitely ready to find her forever family. Any family would be incredibly lucky to welcome this loving girl into their lives!

Words to Describe Me: Friendly, loving, playful, beautiful, smart

Favorite Place to Sleep: Wherever her family is.

Favorite Toy:  wand toy

Perfect Day: Her perfect day is napping on her family’s bed. When you get home, she will be there waiting . At dinner time she will be a lovely assistant.

Kitty's Likes: Getting petted, being brushed, grooming herself with the scratching post.

Kitty's Dislikes: her feet touched, being held too lon,  being held like a baby.

Fastest Way to Get Me to Purr: She has an easy-start purr motor!

Favorite Treat: Katie is not a picky girl. She is a very good eater.

Job Title in Foster: Big sister

When I Grow Up, I Want to Be: A cherished member of a family

Other Info: Her beauty isn't even her best feature. She is a true sweet girl.

Additional adoption info

Some of our "ready to adopt" felines are located at one of our Arizona PetSmart locations. https://www.savingonelife.org/adopt/locations/

We also have a small satellite operation in San Diego with adoption events on select Saturdays at the PetSmart Escondido store.

We highly recommend applying in advance in order to increase your opportunity at adopting the kitty you are interested in. Applications are processed in the order they were received. If you have questions, please email adoptions@savingonelife.org.

More about this rescue

Saving One Life is a completely foster based, volunteer run, never kill rescue. Our motto is that although we can't save the world, it makes a world of difference to the ones we do save.

If you find a litter of kittens or your cat accidentally got pregnant - please contact us if you are able to foster them at intake@savingonelife.org. We cannot take in more animals without foster homes. All supplies and vet care will be taken care of - all you have to do is open your home and heart to them until they can find homes of their own!

All of our adoptable animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for felv/fiv (Cats), dewormed, and microchipped. Adoption fees range depending on the animal's age and breed. All adoption fees assist other animals in our care - we do not have any paid employees. We are a completely never kill group that provides sanctuary to any "unadoptable" animals that come into our care including hospice care.
