My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lizzie
Domestic Shorthair, Born in August 2022, Black with White Tuft on chest, Spayed female

Lizzie is FIV+. Learn More

Hey there, future bestie! I’m Lizzie, your soon-to-be favorite black cat and all-around fun-loving, snuggle queen.

I was found wandering around Petsmart in Niles—guess someone didn’t realize what a superstar I am. But hey, their loss is your gain! I’m sweet, friendly, and ready to shower you with love and affection. If you’re looking for a furry companion who’s playful and totally adorable, look no further.

I’m all about those wand toys and mice. Seriously, I could chase them for hours, and I’ll make you giggle with my funny antics. If you need a buddy who’ll follow you around and keep you company (I’m basically a little shadow), I’m your girl.

Now, I’ll be honest—sometimes I get a bit overstimulated, but that’s just because I’m still adjusting to all the newness around me. With a little patience and TLC, I’ll be your confident, snuggly sidekick in no time!

So, if you’re ready for a dose of black cat magic, come meet me! I promise to bring joy, love, and all the purrs you can handle. Let’s start this adventure together—I’m already excited!

Paws and Purrs,
Lizzie

Our fees include a full medical exam by a veterinarian. This includes a Feline Leukemia and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) test for cats, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, deworming and Spay/Neuter. Dogs receive a Heartworm Check, Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, Canine Flu Vaccine, deworming, and Kennel Cough preventative. Our modest adoption fees do not cover the procedures and vet work that we provide the animals. We fundraise to make up the difference. Any ongoing medical needs that C.A.R.E. is aware of are explained fully, (including daily medicine costs), to the potential adopter, and become the responsibility of the adopter.
