My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Chacha

It's hard to believe this beautiful, sweet girl could be dumped by her owners, but she arrived to our rescue partners in such good shape, already spayed and with the the most gentle disposition. She must have had a family! We are just grateful that she was rescued so quickly and is now in great hands with our partners in Guadalajara.

Chacha is now 1 year old and weighs approx 33 lbs. She's a unique and beautiful mixed breed with features of a rat terrier and husky! With her soft white coat, adorable tan markings and striking eyes, she stands out in any crowd. Her beauty is matched only by her loving nature, making her a true gem.

Chacha is somewhat submissive, not a "dominant" dog. She's a little shy at first but soon warms up to anyone who offers her affection. Once she feels comfortable, she becomes a social butterfly who adores making new friends, both human and canine alike! With her affectionate personality, she showers her humans with endless love. Whether she’s playing with other dogs or leaning in for a gentle cuddle, Chacha’s warmth and kindness will melt your heart. She'll make an excellent family dog -- gentle with kids, gets on with other dogs, and if there's a kitty sibling we can have her cat-tested, but we do not anticipate any issue with Chacha and cats. She's just that darn sweet!

Did you notice her differently colored eyes?  According to a Native American belief, dogs with different coloured eyes can see both Heaven (the blue eye) and earth (the brown eye) at the same time - so they are considered spirit dogs and therefore very special!  Clearly that must be true of Chacha, given her angelic personality!

It must be very confusing for a sweet girl like Chacha to suddenly lose her family and her home.  We know that she'd make such a wonderful addition to any family, we just need to find them for her!  Let's give this deserving girl a second chance for happiness with a family who will never let her go.
