My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet meeee, Miss Treasure

In the beginning when I was rescued, I was hurt and not very well. And my name was Trash, kinda sad but true.

But then happy thing started to happen, I got great care and then even more care. And my foster Mama found out that I didn't need a surgery. I have an old owwie, and only need a monthly shot.

Now I am on the fast track of having a fun time. I do zoomies, play with toys and chew on bones. I love my foster siblings and I am best buddies with my 9lb foster sister.

I am hoping for a home that understands that I will be a bit shy to start. And would take me on walkies and have toys and bones for chew time. I am super good in a home and I sleep free at night and I don't bother a thing.

Of course, Treats are a yes for me and I do like playing with other dogs once I get to know them. I have not met any cats are small kiddos yet. Maybe you are looking for a 2nd dog? I sure am hoping for my furever soon. My foster mama is my rescue's adoption coordinator.

Thankies and lots of love & sunshine,

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

If you are interested in one of our animals, please fill out an adoption application, located on our web site here: http://tubacityhumanesociety.org/adoptions/ . There is more information about our adoption process, including our adoption fees, on that page. In general, fill out an adoption application, and then photo or scan it to our email at tubacityhumane@gmail.com, and that enables us to start a conversation with you. From there, the foster would usually set up a meet and greet with the animal you are interested in. We like all family members to meet the animal, and any other pets as well. We do require a home check. Adoption fees do not cover our veterinary cost, but do help us to continue our work. All animals are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Most animals are also microchipped.

Go meet their pets

Arrangements can usually be made to meet most of our adoptable animals in Flagstaff. The process starts by filling out an application and returning it to to us through email. Some animals are fostered in Tuba City or other locations. We do attend some adoption events in Flagstaff.

More about this rescue

We are a small rescue/foster group located in Tuba City, AZ, on the western Navajo Nation. We do not have a facility. We have two main programs: rescue of homeless animals in need, and a low-cost spay/neuter program for the public. We rely on donations to continue our work.
