Miss Remi is a very happy young Lab mix. Remi was removed from her previous home due to neglect and not being wanted or played with by the humans she depended on. Despite this neglect, she is a total love bug and showers her foster family with hugs and kisses.
Remi is learning to be a loved dog with humans who want to spend time with her and teach her how to play and truly enjoy life’s adventures. She is very active and loves her walks, playing chase with toys like a dog flirt pole. Remi is awkward around other dogs as she had little to no interaction with canines or other animals. She gets overly excited when she meets a potential playmate, canine or feline. Remi longs for others to play with her and we know she will learn the social skills it takes through training (currently underway) so this can be an enriching and fun experience for all.
Remi has that Labrador, full of joy and exuberance with a big, loving heart that makes her such a great by-your-side companion. She loves pleasing and meeting all sizes of humans!
Remi, understandably so, is fearful of being abandoned outside or in a crate. She copes with this anxiety by chewing up anything left in her crate and needs the human to come outside with her. Remi is decompressing well in the foster home and will continue to progress as she becomes more trusting in these situations. She deserves unconditional love and patience as she continues to learn new skills.
Remi is housetrained and super smart. In just a few short weeks she has learned the basic commands of Sit, Lay Down and Leave It. She aims to please and treats are a bonus motivation tool!
Remi would love an active family who will include her in all the life adventures. Half of her adoption fee is being sponsored by people who believe the right family is out there for this sweet girl.
Approximate Birthdate: April 2023
Adoption Fee: $200
TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming. TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL.
Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed. Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.
