Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
“Cute, small, incredibly sweet.” “BEYOND precious… so sweet but waiting far too long to meet someone special.” These are just a few comments from the volunteers about Junie. This little mama dog is simply amazing. She’s polite, petite, has nice manners, knows basic commands and is an overall joy to be around. What’s the catch? Nothing! We don’t know why she is still at the shelter, and we really hope that someone notices her soon. Junie is truly a gem and we hope she gets back into a home, where she belongs, very soon. She deserves it... and more!

Adoptions are walk-in 12-6 daily at 2741 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL
Email visitcacc@cityofchicago.org for more information.
The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID.
All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs.
Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
