Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Wallace, a gentle soul with a heart full of potential. This beautiful Beagle has recently transitioned from a life of breeding to the journey of becoming a beloved companion. While Wallace has yet to fully understand the joys of being a pet, he is slowly but surely learning the ropes. Although he is naturally timid and often scared of people, he responds beautifully to kindness and patience, showing no signs of aggression whatsoever. His quiet demeanor is accompanied by a deep curiosity, and each day presents him with opportunities to explore the world around him. Wallace is discovering the simple pleasures of dog life—whether it's feeling the grass beneath his paws as he runs joyfully in the yard or experiencing the delight of playtime with his canine companions. He has also made friends with the resident cats, showcasing his gentle spirit and willingness to coexist peacefully with others. His experiences thus far have encouraged him to emerge from his shell, and with each passing day, he grows a little braver and a little more trusting. Wallace's ideal home is one filled with patience, love, and understanding. His new family will need to provide a nurturing environment where he can thrive, gradually developing the bonds of trust that will allow him to flourish as a sweet companion. With the right guidance and support, we believe Wallace will blossom into a loving pet who enjoys all the simple joys that life has to offer. If you're looking for a furry friend who will reward your kindness with an abundance of love, Wallace is ready to start this exciting new chapter of his life with you.
Requirements for Wallace include an experienced dog home with excellent veterinary reference; experience with a mill dog a plus; secure fenced yard, another gentle dog companion in the home; no young children as they will frighten him. He does not walk well on a leash as that is completely new to him. He is scared of pretty much everything, people, noises, etc.... but making great steps and getting braver every day!
Wallace is a male Beagle born 5-18-21 and weighs 25 lbs. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease and on heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $350 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
