Here's what the humans have to say about me:
You’ve found your new best friend in Salted Caramel, or "Salty" for short! Currently thriving in his foster home, he is blossoming into a playful and affectionate pup who adores his big foster brothers, who help him explore and learn. His clumsy antics bring joy and laughter to everyone around him, and after a day of play, he loves to cozy up for a nap. Salted Caramel is making great strides in house training and enjoys his meals. He’s a social butterfly, showering everyone he meets with kisses and affection. At night, he snuggles with his foster mom, often choosing to sleep at the foot of her bed, preferring to be close to his humans. With a lot of energy and a friendly demeanor, he hasn’t met a human or dog he doesn’t like! While he hasn’t encountered cats yet, he’ll let you know how that goes when the time comes. Physically, Salted Caramel is filling out nicely with a stocky build, featuring a soft, short coat and a long tail that adds to his charm. Currently teething, he loves chewing on toys—and sometimes his foster mom's shoes, which she cleverly hides away. He thrives in the freedom of a big fenced yard, where he enjoys running around and lounging in the grass while his foster brothers play. Salted Caramel is still working on leash training; while he does okay, he prefers the freedom of the yard. He thrives on action and attention and doesn’t need a super quiet home—though loud noises like hair dryers and vacuums can startle him. He does not like being left alone, so he follows his family everywhere. If you’re looking for a puppy to bring energy, love, and endless kisses into your life, Salted Caramel is ready to be your new family member. He needs a home that is gentle, loving, and willing to spend quality time with him. With patience and positive reinforcement, he will continue to grow into the wonderful companion he’s destined to be!
Salted Caramel is part of the "Ice Cream Pups" litter of 3 male pups. They are Catahoula Leopard Dog/mix (our best guess of breed), born approximately 4-17-24. Each pup has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, and started on heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $600 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. The Ice Cream Pups has cost the rescue nearly $5000 in veterinary care. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. If interested in adopting one of our available dogs or puppies, you must first complete an online adoption application at https://dollyslegacyanimalrescue.org/adopt/ You will be contacted by our adoption coordinator via email after your application has been reviewed & approved to schedule an appointment. Our website is updated daily, pets that are listed are still available.
***If you are serious about adopting, you must first complete and submit an application on our website. Our Adoption Team will respond via email from DollysLegacyAdoptions@gmail.com once you have completed an application. If a pet is still listed, it is not yet adopted as we update daily. All information regarding adoption policies are on our website***
