Hey!! I`m Shane!

I`m a 4 yr old Bully mix and I am genuinely the sweetest, most loving cuddle-bug. I love to be scratched and pet by my human friends but I also play very well with the dogs here at the shelter.

I am very, very polite about taking treats and I eat very slowly. Not sure if I like cats yet, but I`m pretty calm and not overly exciteable so if you have feline friends, we should just be supervised upon being introduced.

I know how to sit very well and love my treats. I can`t wait for you to teach me more tricks and take me home so I can be YOUR cuddle bug.

Macomb County Animal Control will verify proper preventative care history of past/current pets and verify home ownership/review a pet policy

3.
Approve Application

Once an application is approved the adoption coordinator will schedule a time with the applicant/family to meet the pet.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

If a meet-and-greet is successful the family has an opportunity to finalize the adoption.

5.
Pay Fee

Each pet has an established adoption fee and payment can be accepted in the form of credit/debit, check or cash.

6.
Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

Fees very depending on age, animal, breed, etc. Fees vary and are established by the county to help offset medical and care expenses.

You are required to fill out an adoption application that is subject to review. We reserve the right to deny any application for any reason. If you would like to adopt and dog and already have a dog/s, please bring your dog/s with you so we can make sure the dogs get along. If you rent your home, live in a condo or mobile home community, please bring proof that you are allowed to have pets.
