Meet Shay, a truly special girl with an incredible story! This lovely lady was impounded at a local shelter after being found as a stray. During her exam, the shelter staff discovered her little secret—she was expecting and due very soon! Just after her check-up, Shay gave birth to one little puppy right there at the shelter. Thankfully, the shelter reached out to us for help, and we whisked Shay and her little bundle of joy away to safety.
Now that her pup has grown up big and strong, Shay is ready to find her very own forever home! This sweet girl has a gentle disposition and gets along famously with everyone. She adores other dogs and loves to roll over, showing off her belly to let them know she’s just a friendly gal looking for pals. Shay also loves meeting new people, and she’s quick to trust and eager to share her love with everyone she meets.
Estimated to be around 6 years old, Shay has a youthful spirit that will steal your heart! She’s got an undeniable pep in her step and enjoys romping around and playing. Friendly and adaptable, Shay would thrive in a multi-pet household and is truly the dream dog you’ve been searching for! Ready to welcome Shay into your heart and home? She can’t wait to meet you! Please inquire today!

More about this rescue
Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
