Meet Spins! This handsome guy came to us after being found as a stray on the streets, and let's just say the streets weren’t exactly kind to him. He had a pesky flea infestation and is still growing back some of his fur, but his spirits are as bright as ever!
Spins earned his name because he gets so excited for attention that he literally spins with joy and anticipation for some love. We’re talking full-on twirls! Weighing in at 23 pounds, he’s tall and lanky, making him a head taller than most of his pals at the rescue, but don’t let that fool you—he’s one of the gentlest and friendliest pups around!
Spins plays well with dogs of all ages, but his absolute favorite playmates are the tiny, bouncy puppies! It’s an adorable sight to see the tallest guy frolicking with the smallest pups, showcasing just how friendly and playful our boy really is.
Spins is looking for a home that ideally has another dog to share adventures with, and an active owner who can take him on plenty of walks and adventures. At just about two years old, he’s super smart, so he’d thrive with some training and mental stimulation, along with regular exercise.

Home Check
We will come out to make sure your home is safe for a Pug; if you live out of area we can do the home check via Skype or FaceTime.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
You can make an appointment to come pick out a Pug or you can also do that at one of our events (see our event page on website).
Additional adoption info
We require an application either online through our website or in person at our facility or one of our events. Once we receive the application we will schedule a home visit. After approval, you are eligible to adopt any available dog. Our fees range from $75 - $550 depending upon age. $550 would be for a pure pug puppy (which we rarely get), $75 would be for our senior for senior program. Full price list available on our website.

More about this rescue
Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities.
