My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cooper-Collie male, Senior 13yr. (Oct. 2024)
Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for application
Cooper came to Rescue when his owner was unable to care for him any longer for health reasons. She had to move in with her elderly father who is ill and has allergies to dogs. The whole family is sad to think of losing Cooper in the twilight of his life but want him to have a great home. He's used to a loving home, having been in this family his whole life.. He's super friendly with people, loves to snuggle and just keep you company. He's active, plays with the 13 yr. Old child in the home and seems in great health. Do you have it in your heart to give him a 2nd loving home for the end years of his life. Cooper's adoption fee is $300 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Include your location and a phone number for future communication.

Additional adoption info

The first step in the adoption process is to request an application from rescuebc@hotmail.com. Please allow 1-2 days to receive the application. Please be patient as we are 100% volunteer supported. We will need several days to make the calls on your application. The current pets in the home must be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines and annual exams, and currently on heartworm preventative for dogs. You must be 21 years of age and gainfully employed.
Once you are approved, a volunteer will contact you and invite you to a Meet and Greet to visit with a pet. All our pets are fostered in private homes and only come to the event when they have a potential adopter.
Plan to spend 1-2 hours at the Meet and Greet. It takes time to unload our pets and give them an opportunity to relieve themselves. You will have time to visit with a pet to decide if this is the right pet for your family. You will be required to sign a legal contract and we will go over the medical records with you. You will be required to take your new pet to the vet within 7 days of adopting.
We charge an adoption fee for all of our animals. This fee varies depending on the vetting requirements of that particular animal. The adoption fee is cash only.
If you have any questions, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com.

More about this rescue

Rescue BC is a multi-faceted, foster-based rescue. Our pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated up to date as age appropriate, dogs over 6 months old are tested for heartworm, puppies/kittens are dewormed.
Our pets are rescued from rural Kentucky shelters that will euthanize if overcrowded. Our rescue helps to prevent overcrowding in the shelters and to help these pets find new homes. If you would be interested in fostering for us please email rescuebc@hotmail.com.
