Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi my name is Chanterelle, I am a petite tabby female cat. I’m about 1.5-2 years old and just about the sweetest cat ever.
I got myself into a predicament, I got pregnant and when my “humans” found out they kicked me out of the house. I went from home to home searching for help.
I ended up with AHSEM (thankfully). I was able to have my kittens inside and able to safely take care of them. They are all grown and don’t need me anymore, now I am looking for my forever home. Lucky for you!
I love belly rubs and will flop over and on my back and ask for pets. I am super cuddly and will sleep with you. I’m very interested in all my human has to do - wherever you go, I go too!
I am dog friendly. In my foster home there is a big pitbull that I don’t mind being around. He’s a bit socially awkward so we aren’t the best of friends , but we get along and I would love to have a dog friend.
On my first day in a new home I may have a lot to say. I talk when I am nervous sometimes but once I get everything out I settle in quickly. I feel better once I know the routines of my home.
I am not destructive and don’t cause any messes. I’m still young so I like to play some, but I really just enjoy living inside and being lazy lounging around. I like to look out the window- that’s enough of the outdoors that I want to see.
Chanterelle is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.
