Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jessie is an exceptional girl. From the minute she arrived, she has been a favorite of volunteers and dogs alike. Jessie is calm, sweet and gentle. She had been placed in play groups with every single dog at the shelter she came from and they all loved her. The shelter staff especially appreciated putting her with the "unmannered crazies" because she had such a calming effect on them. Jessie could be doubled up with any of the dogs at the shelter with no problem. She also seems to be house trained. We took Jessie to an adoption event where she made sure she greeted anyone who came near. A man squatted down with a baby of about 3 months old and Jessie could not have been gentler with her. Jessie licked the man's face, the babies fingers, and let the baby pet her. She was just as sweet and gentle with the toddlers and older kids. Jessie has one "bad" habit, which is gently jumping up and putting her paws on you. You will want to say no to her, but she is so gentle about how she does it that everyone ends up wrapping their arms around her in a hug.
Jessie is thriving in her foster home, where she’s proving to be a loving companion who enjoys being close to her humans. While she is still mastering leash training and requires a fenced yard, she is kennel trained during the day and sleeps outside at night. She has a friendly disposition towards the other dogs in her home, although she hasn’t been tested with cats yet. So far, she’s handled her first bath like a champ! This affectionate pup is ready to find her forever family to share her love with.
Jessie is a female Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix who was was born approximately 7-18-20 and weighs 43 lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested heartworm negative and started on heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $400 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
