My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ellie: The Gorgeous, Playful, and Lovable Bully Mix Looking for Her Forever Home!

Once upon a time, in a kingdom far, far away (well, not really), there lived the most stunning and charming dog named Ellie. This 2-year-old beauty was lost over the hectic 4th of July holiday and ended up in a shelter. But that didn't stop her from stealing hearts left and right with her sweet and friendly personality. And that's how she ended up on a quest to find her perfect forever home.

In terms of personality, she's affectionate, charming, and curious about everything around her. She's also incredibly sociable and loves to be around well-behaved people and dogs who interact appropriately. She's got a happy-go-lucky attitude that will make you fall in love with her in no time. She weighs about 60 pounds, this girl is full of energy and loves to run and play. Mealtime is her favorite time of day, and she would do just about anything for a tummy rub. She's a clever girl who practices her good manners and professional training skills every day.

Ellie is professionally trained and is potty-trained, crate-trained, leash-trained, responds to basic commands - basically the perfect package!

Ellie's ideal home would be an active one with adults and/or a family with teens, with a structured and disciplined routine.

So, if you're looking for a best friend, a lover, and a funny and delightful addition to your family, then look no further. Ellie is waiting for you to take her home and give her all the love she deserves. Don't miss out on the opportunity to bring this amazing girl into your life. Adopt Ellie and let the adventure begin!

Ellie is participating in The Love Pit's iRehome program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster. All behavior and medical information is provided by their caretaker, and TLP encourages all adopters to verify the information with their caretaker prior to adoption.

Additional adoption info

Adopting from The Love Pit means gaining a family member. It means gaining a network of pit bull advocates, ready to support you and provide you with all of the resources we can. Most importantly, adopting from The Love Pit saves lives. When you adopt, you're saving the life of your own dog, opening space in their foster home for another shelter dog in need, and creating space in the shelter kennel for a dog whose life would have otherwise been on the line. Your thanks for all the good you've done? Lots of love and pit bull kisses to enjoy for years to come.

Go meet their pets

We have monthly adoption events at different locations in Dallas and Fort Worth which are announced on our social media pages and will also be posted on our website.

We will also set up an appointment with you to meet the dog of your choosing.
