I’m a petite little girl born 6/6/24. I’m the only girl in my litter of 5 so I can keep up with the boys and can hang.
I'm independent, but that doesn't mean I don't love company. I enjoy the company of my siblings and cat friends. I would be happiest in a home with a friend.
I adore being held, purring in delight as I feel the warmth of friendly hands. I am super affectionate. I'm nurturing, often found cleaning my brothers, spreading love and comfort.
I'm cute, or so they tell me, with a charm that's irresistible. Why should you adopt me? Well, I promise to fill your life with endless amusement, a constant companion who'll bring warmth, affection, and a whole lot of love.
I'm Oyster, ready to bring a pearl of joy into your life!
Oyster is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
