My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rufus is a sweet, quirky, cuddly dog — but he needs to be an “only-dog.” He lived with my mom and sister, who both unfortunately died recently.

Rufus will be 10 years old in March 2025, but he is quite energetic and weighs 14 pounds. He has a highly treatable heart condition. He is crate-trained but is not 100% housebroken, so frequent walks with a couple of pee pads placed around the house are advisable.

He is loving and comical. He can shake on command. He loves taking walks and getting treats. He’s a climber, so all food must be placed well out of his reach.

It breaks my heart to part with him, but I know that he will make a happy forever home with another family as an only-dog. 🥹
