Hi I’m Morel, I’m the only brown tabby in my litter- I am my mom’s twin. I was born 6/6/24 as part of the mushroom litter.
I'm a playful ball of energy, always ready for a game of chase or a bout of wrestling with my playmates . My athletic skills are top-notch, I can jump high and fast, you'll be amazed!
I'm also quite the social butterfly, always ready to make friends with anyone who visits me. I definitely need a young and energetic cat friend in my new home. I would get bored and lonely without one.
I love to perch high, it gives me a sense of freedom and control. Cat trees are just fun and like to find good nap spots in them. But don't worry, I'm not aloof, I love cuddles and attention too.
Adopting me would mean endless fun, laughter, and companionship. I promise to fill your home with joy, playfulness, and boundless energy. Will you be my forever friend?
Morel is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting him, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
