Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maverick and his sister Raven arrived at the shelter on September 24th 2024. These two bonded cats were the beloved pets of a special lady that is well known in the rescue world named France Lajeunesse who passed on July 22, 2021. Both Maverick and his sister Raven were adopted to a family who had a lifestyle change and needed to return them to find another home. Raven and Maverick are beautiful cats with great personalities. Raven is talkative and will look you in the eye and speak to you and Maverick is a little more relaxed and is very loving. We are hoping to find a home where these two can stay forever and receive the love that they so deserve. It would mean the world to us to see these two stay together and to honour the memory of France Lajeunesse. Please contact the shelter for more information about these adorable cats or to make an appointment to come have a visit.

If you are interested in an animal you’ve seen on our website, you can call 519-833-2287 or send an email to learn more about them. You can also stop by the shelter to meet the animal in person. It may take a few visits to find the animal that is a perfect match for you.

You can stop by the shelter Monday through Sunday from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm.

You may wish to call the shelter before visiting to confirm the location and availability of the animal you would like to meet. The UCHS staff can let you know if the animal is currently at the shelter or at one of our remote locations, such as a foster home, local pet supply store or our Thrift Shop.
