My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dane the main man! At about 3-4 months old, what we've seen of him is all happiness, confidence, and wiggles! Whether you're wanting to snuggle up for a bit, or go out and go for a walk, Dane is happy to accompany you. He thoroughly enjoys playing with other dogs, big - small, he doesn't mind! & he surely doesn't mind resting his head on your lap, or taking the whole thing over like he's 5 pounds. Speaking of, Dane weighs in around 20-25 pounds or so, and is still working on filling out, and his appetite shows, that's for sure! Bones keep him busy in his kennel, and when it's not a bone, you can bet he's flinging a stuffed toy around, or resting like the lazy boy he is at heart! Dane has been quick to learning the basics of manners, crate-training, and leash walking while he's been with us, so we know he will mesh well into just about any home!

We know Dane's mom was a purebred Great Dane, & that's the end of what we know about this guys' genetic history!

We are a non-profit organization out of Monticello, IA specializing in the care for dogs and cats that need us. Our care does not stay local, as we take transports from all over the United States, and adopt all over as well!

Our mission's primary focus is to help reduce the homeless pet population by finding homes for spayed/neutered pets, and helping educate WHY this process is so important, and the proper way to care for pets!
