My name is Gabe!

Gabe is an extremely playful and energetic fellow that would make a very loyal addition to an active owner with time to give and space to enjoy! We adopted Gabe from PACC so he is neutered, crate trained and vaccinated. He is very muscular, weighs just over 60 pounds, is motivated by treats and never misses a meal. Gabe loves attention and scratches! He is also sweet and affectionate to family.
The reason we are looking to rehome Gabe is due to his lack of social skills which makes him a better fit in a home without other dogs. Gabe tends to be protective of home or yard, dominate/possessive and can be overly fear-aggressive to other dogs but not vicious. Gabe spent several months at PACC and is currently on medication for Kennel stress. We have worked with a trainer to overcome his anxiety to other dogs, but at this time he would have difficulty in social settings such as dog parks. When he gets excited, he doesn’t understand how rough he plays due to his past.
