My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Nina Star! I'm approximately 8 years old and considered a "Tiny Beagle", I weigh about 18 pounds, but no worries I love to eat! I'm a sweet little girl that is still trying to figure out what has happened to me.I came in with another beagle named Jack Star who I was really close to.

Initially, when meeting new people, I am timid and shy. But then, I crave your attention!  I will also sometimes wander off to go check out things, but then I come right back to you. I'm currently still in "quarantine" in my foster home, so I haven't joined the other dogs in the home.

I am crate trained, take care of my business outside and let my nose do some work when outside. I haven't had any interest in toys or bones.  I do love food and treats and don't hesitate to take part in that, plus I'm working on the command "Sit". I'm really a sweet girl that will be amazing to watch blossom as my confidence grows.

Sadly, I have a health issue called Heartworms. I haven't begun treatment for this yet, which I'm told may take a few months to get myself on the road to being what they call, Heartworm Free.  On a side-note, I'm also told that I have to be spayed before I can go to my forever home which is scheduled for 10/24.  Not exactly sure what that means yet, but I'll do whatever it takes to find my forever family.

I would love to meet my new family soon; I've been waiting for you. If you would like to meet me, please submit an adoption application for me today!
