My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Alto: The Affectionate, Derpy Orange Sweetheart

Are the orange cat stereotypes true? Well, if they say orange cats are endearing, a little derpy, and obsessed with food, then maybe! Alto is living proof that the stereotype might just be real. Part of a trio of musical kittens, Alto stands out as the most affectionate of the bunch, which says a lot because his siblings are pretty sweet too! This loveable goofball is happy to snuggle, play, and even be held and rocked like a baby. He's great with other cats, but would also thrive on his own as your solo cuddle buddy. If you're looking for a kitten who's as sweet as he is goofy, Alto's ready to fill your home with love and laughter.

Looking for a charming, food-loving cuddlebug? Alto is waiting to be your new best friend! If you'd like to adopt him, please submit an application.

FMAR felines are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated for age-appropriate shots, and negative for FIV/FeLV.

More about this shelter

We are a nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter comprised mostly of volunteers. We take in cats and dogs from local shelters and the public who can no longer care for their pets. Each of the volunteers at FMAR has a tremendous amount of love for animals and simply wants to do what they can to ensure that as many animals as possible find a forever home. Until then, each animal has a home at FMAR indefinitely.
